Prof. Chika Umar Aliyu

Prof. Muhammed Nasirudeen Maiturare

He is the Vice Chancellor of IBB University, Lapai, Niger State; he served as Director, Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was Dean, Faculty of Administration [2006—2008];   H. O. D. Department of Business Administration [2004—2007]. He holds a PhD Business Administration; MBA and BSc Business Administration [Actuarial Science].

His research interest includes Islamic Banking, Finance and Insurance. He has published many articles and attended many seminars, workshops and conferences.



  Sani Aminu Dutsinma

Managing Director/CEO Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Nigeria, Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance, Master’s Degree in Public Policy and        Administration,   Master’s Degree in Islamic Banking and Finance Pioneered the Non-Interest [Islamic] Banking scheme in Nigeria under the auspice of the then Habib Nigeria Bank Ltd.


Prof. Mansur Idris

Bsc. Economics, Msc. Economics, Phd. Economics, and Professor of Economics, Bayero University Kano, and former Deputy Director Academic Program at International Institute of Islamic Bank and Finance, BUK. Membership in: Nigerian Economics Society, Institute of Economists of Nigeria, Institute of Charted Economists of Nigeria, Institute of Chartered Economists of Ghana, and Associate Award in Islamic Finance.


 Dr. Sirajo Salisu Phd

Bsc. Economics [Money and Banking], Msc. Economics [Monetary Economics], Phd. Agricultural Economics. Former Managing Director/CEO of Arab Gambia Islamic Bank Ltd, Gambia; Former Chairman Board of Directors of Takaful Insurance Gambia Limited; Chairman Board of Directors of Tijarah Microfinance Bank, Bauch. Attended various Islamic banking courses and seminars.


Salisu Hamisu

PhD Islamic Banking and Finance [awaiting result], BSc Agric. Economics, MBA, Masters in Development Studies, Masters in Islamic Finance [INCEIF], Postgraduate Diploma in Management. Member Institute of Chartered Economics of Nigeria, Member Charted Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals, Member International Council of Islamic Finance Educators.


Ass. Prof. Abdulqadir Ibrahim Abikan

A legal practitioner, barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He has teaching, reseach and conculting experience in law of Corporate Management, Islamic banking and finance, Islamic commercial transactions, business law, Islamic business ethics and Islamic investment. He has a Phd in Islamic Banking and Finance Laws. He is currently and Associate Professor of Law.


Dr Olatoye Karim

A Senior Lecturer , faculty of Law, Lagos State University. Acting HOD, Public and Private Law [LASU], and former HOD International and Islamic Law [LASU]. He currently teaches Islamic Banking and Finance Law in LASU.



He holds a Ph.D. Economics, M.Sc. Economics, Diploma Russian Language as well as Diploma Purchasing/Supply Management.

He was Head of Economics Departments at Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina as well as Bayero University Kano.

He was a Director at Kano State Investment and Properties Ltd. And still a Director at Kano Socio-Economic Advancement, and WAAD Consultancy.

He is a consultant with UNDP State Project, Jigawa State; Consultant UNDP project, Kano.

He has many Publications, Supervised many Thesis/Projects and Research Works. He has authorized many publications and attended many workshops, conferences and seminars.



He is an Associate Professor, Department of Islamic Law, Faculty of Law, University of Ilorin.

He holds a Ph.D. LLM, LLB (Hons), B.Sc. (Economics) and Diploma in Public Accounting and Auditing.

He is a Member Associate Cost and Executive Accountants (London), Fellow, Institute of State and Marketing Management (London).

His  research interest include, Islamic Banking  in a Secular Society and the Nigerian Economy, Islamic International Law, Law  and Social change and the imperative of Shariah.

He has published many articles and attended many Seminars, Conferences and Workshops.



Dr. Darma holds Ph. D. (Economics), M.Sc. Banking and Finance, and B.Sc. Economics (Development Economics and Money and Banking).

He is Director, Economic Growth Department, National Planning Commission, Nigeria.

He was a Deputy Director (Team Leader, Research and Documentation) Debt Management Office, Abuja.

He was a Senior Lecturer, University of Abuja (Teaching and Research in Development Economics and Public Finance).

He has also worked in Gulf Bank Nigeria Plc (1994 – 1996), an International Merchant Bank Plc (1992 – 1994); All States Trust Bank Ltd (1991 – 1992).



Dr. Dogarawa is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Accounting, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He holds PhD and MSc in Accounting and Finance; Master of Banking and Finance, as well as BSc Business Administration.

His area of specialization include Management, Entrepreneurship, Banking and Finance. He has special interest in Islamic Banking and Finance.



He is a Senior Lecturer, Department of Economics, Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.

He holds a PhD [Economics]; MSc [Economics]; BSc [Ed—Economics].

His areas of teaching and research interest are, Economic theory; Islamic Banking and Finance; Statistics; Monetary Economics; and Nigerian Economics.

He has many publications, seminar presentations, research work-in-progress, as well as attended many conferences, seminars and workshops.
